Leandros is a graduate from the Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology of the University of Thessaly. In 2019, he participated in the International Synthetic Biology Competition, called iGEM, as a project leader of the iGEM Thessaly 2019 team. Their research project, ODYSSEE, earned a gold medal and won the Best Diagnostics award together with nominations for the special awards, Best Supporting Entrepreneurship and Best Integrated Human Practices.
He first met science communication via the Thessaly Science Festival 2018, as a Partner and Hospitality Manager. Outside the walls of science, he loves graphic design and storytelling.
