Νiki Pappa

Niki is a Biologist specializing in neuroscience, she has been collaborating with the educational non-profit organisation SciCo for three years. During this period, she participated in the design and implementetion of numerous science communication activities targeting different groups (students, families with children, adults).
The last two years, she has been carrying out her doctoral dissertation and studying the Science Festival as a science communication medium and non-formal education environment. The purpose of her PhD is to create an in-depth theoretical and methodological model for planning and evaluating actions carried out within the Science Festivals’ environment. Her personal belief is that a systematic study of this framework will make a significant contribution to achieving the Science Festivals’ mission for public understanding of science and public engagement in scientific matters.
