Dimitra is 21 years old, she studies at Physics Department of University of Ioannina and if she could describe herself with one wold, that would be definitely “weird”. Not only for all those things that happen in the world, but also as a common characteristic of the things that constitute her. Althought that weird nature of her has been sometimes an “obstacle” when she tries to make new friends (because who says ”useless” facts about the human body or about a documentary that saw yesterday in a casual date for coffee?), but all those that eventually manage to handle her, enjoy the privileges, such as their new profile picture on Instagram, long conversations about movies and nights with good food, wine, music and of course conversations about many interesting stuff until the sun comes back again. ISF is the first voluntary action that she participates, as it combines science engagement, alongside with its communication, framed beautifully and in a fun way (and maybe as a ”shield” for her, where she can inform people about scientific stuff that impress her, without being the weird one).
