Athina Milona

Athina is a graduate from the  Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Thessaly. As the Head of Human Practices, she and her team iGEM Thessaly 2019, traveled all the way to Boston to take part in the international Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition. There, ODYSSEE won the best Diagnostics Project award together with nominations for Best Integrated Human Practices and Best Supporting Entrepreneurship project.

She interacted for the first time with SciCo during the Thessaly Science Festival 2018 where she was known as Athena: The Hospitality Goddess and Experience  Leader. After her journey to the competition she is back collaborating with SciCo, for the Athens Science festival this time, as a lab kids leader and web ninja, and to help with the coordination of the volunteers.
